The Beat Generation Cloudcast

I have been meaning to compile this mix for a few months and it could also be seen as a alternative soundtrack to the upcoming 'On The Road' movie release (not to take the usual soundtrack conventions too literally).
As should become clear looking at the tracklisting, it's heavily Kerouac-centerd.
It's roughly divided into two parts, the first containing some of the music/artists that Kerouac and the other Beats listened to, so it features a number of the Bop greats of that period.
The second part is a collection of more contemporary artists that were influenced by his writings, and I of course couldn't forget Allen Ginsberg.
Also included are songs by Ramblin' Jack Elliott who Kerouac was friends with for a while, and 'Freight Train' by Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, who, to my knowledge, didn't have a connection to Kerouac or the other Beat writers, but as Kerouac loved freight trains so much I found it appropriate to feature in here.
