Back in 96/97, people started to use the word 'upfront' to describe a certain sound that was emerging in d&b. This was the sound championed by people like Ed Rush, Trace, Nico, and Optical - and it changed the face of this music forever. It's still alive and well - this set showcases some recent examples (plus one timeless classic)
