Playing live in London this week are Julia Holter and No Joy (who both released excellent albums this year), as well as LCMDF at Ja Ja Ja Festival this Saturday, which should be great fun.
And Empress Of is playing a free show at this very moment at Birthdays! We chose a live acoustic version of Hat Trick to showcase this Brooklyn-based girl's delicate songwriting and impressive voice.
This week we also have some fine tunes from Daniel Avery, King of Spain, fantastic shoegaze sounds by Tamaryn, and a beloved "oldie" by one of England's most acclaimed artists.
