Welcome to Collaborhythms, a new project between me and my friend http://www.mixcloud.com/DFUNCT/ (Check out his page for more quality stuff!). Tracks 1-7 are mixed by me and tracks 8-14 are mixed by D-FUNCT. I had been looking forward to getting this back with his half added on and I must say he definitely didn't disappoint me. I think he has done a great job and I think each half compliments the other perfectly as we both share a love for great music. This is part 1 - Deep house edition, look out for more stuff coming soon but in the meantime turn it up, let yourself go and get lost in the vibe!

Oh and thanks to Sean for pointing me in your direction with this set that he described as one of his favorite all time Deep House sets, we seem to share in Sean's taste for music and he is a genuine expert in the field. Like a wine taster with ears for exceptional baselines. ;0)
You can tell when someone has their roots in British house music. That deep bass-line is reminiscent of the UK Garage from the mid to late 90s. There is something about having a background where we shared in the evolution of the British Dance Music scene with everything from Acid to Drum n Bass, Jungle and UK Garage that makes it unique. I can recognise the hint of UK Garage through this, especially with the Disclosure track, one of my personal fav's. Excellent set!!
