THE Mary Hopkin interviews her friends she has worked with throughout her career. In 2008 she spoke with with legendary double bassist, The Wing Commander, Danny Thompson before his show with Pentangle at St Davids Hall in Cardiff. Mary and Danny first met in 1971 on the recording of her Earth Song / Ocean Song album (produced by Tony Visconti) - and here they met at her daughter Jessica Lee Morgan's Space Studios in Cardiff.

Danny formed Pentangle. Their song Light Flight was the theme tune for the TV series Take Three Girls. One of those girls was played by Liza Goddard, who attended Farnham Girls Grammar School. So did my sister. See, we're practically related!

What a great start to Mary's series of intimate interviews! I always loved the bass runs / lines in Earth Song / Ocean Song — so helped ground the album's mood.
