Willy Tapes are back! In the 1980s, DJ Willy Lemay maintained a residency at Spit (now Axis) at 13 Landsdowne St. in Boston, MA. He also distributed monthly mixtapes for over 10 years during the 80s and early 90s with some of the best new wave around. The tapes were filled with soon to be classics along with rare b-sides you would never hear anywhere else. In that spirit, here is my take on the Willy Tape, updated for 2015. This month’s mix features some of the best new releases in electronic music from May 2015. I hope you enjoy and check back next month for a new mix.
