We are celebrating the second edition (soon to be released in paperback) of the loved book researched and written by dance historian Larraine Nicholas. Sarah Gray, alumna of the College of Arts (featured on the front cover of the book), spoke with Larraine in the studio about Dartington and its changing dance ecology, asking what has changed since Larraine wrote the first edition of the book and what inspired her to revisit the work in 2024.
Soundart Radio made the audio recording of Larraine’s talk to launch the new edition of the book, which was platformed in the Michael Young Room by Dartington Trust on 12 November 2025 programmed alongside its temporary photographic exhibition in the Elmhirst Centre - Dancing Utopia running until 28 February 2026.
