I just watched the entire series, it connects to Sound Test with a bizarre, single Playstation adventure game, and I'm feeling WIRED, so I'm doing a Lain set tonight at 10:00 PM.
Serial Experiments Lain is a surreal anime series from 1998 that explores themes of identity and reality through a computer communication system similar to the Internet and the World Wide Web. Its soundtrack, however, is emblematic of the 90s, with a main theme evoking The Cranberries and plenty of hard driving house and techno throughout many episodes.
It's probably my favorite anime, and playing the game still is an agonizing trip for me, so I'm making you ALL love Lain.
