UnknownUnknown is a duo from Amsterdam combining two musical influences of the city: free improvisation and electronic music. Like their music, the band has two sides: one is very intense and explores very fast, sudden changes in music. The other side is very calm, researching slow development in ambience and textures. They drown acoustic music in electronic effects, adding field recordings and live looping & sampling. Painting abstract pictures of sound, while raising philosophical questions like: “Is this a dance?” The only way to find out is to surrender to the music.
