I know - isn't it ironic that the one thing he fought for all his career (the ability to release his music when ready to the fans) is now a proven marketing device for contemporary artists. In so many ways Prince was a trailblazer and as Questlove said so "hip hop"!
I gotta say I have listened to this mix heaps - one of my recent favorites. Clever choice of songs and versions and it feels like Prince at his freshest. Also that extended version of Vicki's Waiting is incredible. I cannot believe this was not released.
