Our good friend Jo, visual artist & DJ died recently of cancer. He had planned to hold a mini festival where his friends and family could meet each other and experience a bit of Jo’s life before his departure. He didn’t make it to the festival, but last weekend we gathered, remembered and celebrated Jo’s existence at Whare Flat, Dunedin.
This is something like the set that I might have played if it wasn’t for the fact that the sound system was 6 hours late. I thought that I would be bridging from tech house to prog, so needed to step up the bpm and intensity quite a bit throughout. Had quite a lot of fun getting into some old breaks tracks, and layering up the deep techno when I was jamming this out. Hope you enjoy it.
And Jo – hope you’re enjoying floating free in the infinite one. Namaste buddy.
