I remember making mixtapes as long as I have memories. My dad used to buy vinyl but we didn’t have a record player at home. There was a shelf in my parent´s closet, kind of a mysterious thing, with the records. I won my first LP in a painting contest when I was a child. I remember the feeling of the sleeve in my baby hands and how much I loved having a place in the shelf. After that I started to ask for records on my bday and xmas. My uncle had a pretty cool record player and every time we went to visit we made tapes, my dad made his and I made mine combining my kids records with his.
