What a tribute!! Massive Massive Tune!!!
It's been just under a year since the sad passing of Reggae Legend Gregory "Cool Ruler" Isaacs and the "We Remember Gregory" LP has just dropped, so I wanted to select and blend what I feel are some of the stronger cuts on the album to pay tribute to the man himself and to all the artists who voiced the tracks. All of the original tracks where sympathetically re-produced by Dean Fraser and in all cases he has made considerable effort to retain what made the riddims so infectious in the first place while updating their sound quality and production dynamic. I was always a fan of Gregory's laconic delivery and am pleased to hear what the artists have done to adapt their vocal styles in their many varied interpretations of these classic songs.
