So Electro

Not to be one of those music snobs that say they know what real <insert genre> sounds like, but this is what "real" Electro sounds like...in my humble opinion. Of course, there's variation in the genre, but much of what's branded Electro today is a stretch from what Electro was at its peak (circa 2008). Recorded in 2008, this mix captured the diversity of sound in the genre at the time--from the blips to buzzes, to the indie electric guitars; to the rhythmic electro house feel, and even to tracks that touch on commercial. If I were schooling a new DJ, this would be required listening. But then again, I'm not a music snob, just a humble cloud DJ...so I'll let you all be the judge. - Dave Alexander bka SMLRMDJ
