My castaway today is Ms Tonks. A very strong woman, she is the Assistant Principle and Head of E-Learning and had been at Shireland for 9 years now. She was born in Stourbridge and grew up in a Victorian terraced house, which was converted into a shop and post office. She says she can’t live without a good moisturiser and she hates with a passion, middle lane drivers on the motorway.
As an educational leader, she has worked on numerous projects, which has made a huge difference to schools and students all over the country. She says her own school life, at an all girls school, is what inspired her to become a teachers. She says ‘I was determined to do a better job than those that tried to teach me at secondary school.
Describing herself as ‘expressive’, this tech savvy mother of one, says she will continue to show the world what technology can do.
