I’m back as promised with a two-part Afro Progressive Tech set to close out 2022. After weeks of crate digging, I narrowed it down to 36 tracks. I spent an entire day planning the flow and decided to start with my favorite 18 for part I, which is more progressive but still retains a strong Afro vibe. Part II, in contrast, is darker and less proggy.
The selection for part II was more refined. While part I went smoothly, part II had its challenges. Despite all the planning, I ended up making 4 live changes to the tracklist and flow. Part II continues the vibe from part I, with mixes between 90 to 120 seconds—either straight out or during breakdowns. This set leans more towards Afro, with a touch of Tech for a darker, pumping club vibe to balance the first part. Overall, I’m beyond happy with these sets and hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.
