Alias Music 001

First of a series of sets that were played at an alternative wedding last year. This is a fairly laid back affair, a soundtrack to a day in the blistering sun. It starts with a bit of electronica and low-tempo house before moving onto hip-hop, disco/funk, and tech-house. Tracks are allowed to breathe during the last half hour and the mix includes the full 9 minutes of Ron Hardy's edit of Isaac Hayes's 'I can't turn around', one of my all-time favourite tracks! Pacific Coliseum's blissful 'Ocean City' rounds off proceedings.
