My name is Chris Jarman, I have been working under the name Raiden
making d&b for the last 10 years, recently I’ve started a new project
called Kamikaze Space Programme which to me is an experimental sound
with punchy bass, tribal percussion and a big bouncy vibe influenced
by Techno, House and Electronica. I’m finding this genreless
revolution in electronic music totally captivating and liberating.
Kamikaze Space Programme for me is musical freedom where I can take
the music where ever the mood takes me.
The week when I recorded the mix I was very much in a Tech House mood
but I also wanted to mix it up with experimental bass music, yet make
it one cohesive sound. I recorded the mix live with a host of midi
controllers using Ableton doing many tricks and edits on the fly to
create more interesting transitions and spice to the mix. I had record
the mix a few times before I was happy with it!
