On a warm February day this year in Lisbon, I bought in a small record shop in the Rua da Misericordia in Bairo Alto the Gomez album Bring It On, which I then accompanied the rest of the sunny days of holiday joy. Music, the admixed one already at the breakfast table with a view over the rooftops of the Old Town in relaxed summer mood, then the one with you all day.
A few months later in Berlin, the sun is higher, the days are longer and warmer, creaked the first tunes of "Tijuana Lady" on a Sunday morning from my speakers, and were then replaced in the course of the day from Calexico & Howe Gelb, where by I got the idea for this mixtape.
It should sound like a hot summer day when the air shimmering above the asphalt of the streets by the heat of the sun and you get the feeling that life in the city instead of running in slow motion.
Have fun and enjoy it, Thomas
