SHAPE Radio - 26th April 2016

Avatar

A monthly programme by SHAPE (Sound, Heterogeneous Art & Performance in Europe), the platform established in 2014 by 16 European festivals with support of EU's Creative Europe programme to promote up-and-coming musicians and innovative audiovisual artists. This month: four musicians who approach music from different angles, yet all remain firmly rooted in the electronic music sphere (dance-driven and experimental): Jakob Schneidewind (Austria), a member of the live instrumental techno collective Elektro Guzzi, whose experimental side projects are Monochord and Demi Broxa; Paris-based Voiski, who describes his music as something “between Steve Reich and trance”; Lawrence Le Doux, who has a longstanding history of experimentation behind him though his current output sees him embrace the dance floor; and Portuguese-born, London-based IVVVO, whose releases have appeared on Opal Tapes and Danse.

Tracklist

Playing tracks by Monochord, Lawrence Le Doux, Polar Inertia, Voiski and Ivvvo.
