My first experience hearing Breaks was at a Kootenay rave in 2001. I can clearly remember that it was an early morning set played by the legendary Cinto and my best pal Adam was shreddin' up the dance floor with me. It is a genre that always throws me back to the good ol' ravin days of past...when we didn't care 2 shits if you had to work tomorrow...It was gonna be a late fuckin' night if there was a party goin on. Although a lot of brain cells were murdered and bad decisions made, it was fun as hell and I have no regrets.
This set is a trip through a few different styles of Breaks to showcase how great this "tiny" genre can be. It's tough these days to find electronic music that isn't just a copycat of something else. I do my best to hunt down and mix together only music that excites my emotions and that I think would make a room go nuts.
