RECESS: with SPINELLI #115

Alexander my friend please do not feel insulted if I was to say this was your best selection yet - I know music is subjective, but today you had something for everyone. Whatever your taste it was just around the corner. As you know I listen to be inspired with songs I've not heard and I was literally spoilt for choise I lost count of tracks I would rate as 10/10 All These Things I've Done, Geraldines Routine, I learned the hard way, The walk (including surprisingly some very salty language) - Local music - Julia song needs to be INTERNATIONAL! No, scrap that - ALL your local talent was awsome - bluegrass feel to Bound for Abiguiu (where else would you hear songs back to back like that??) BUT I think you have made a fan of me with Lou Hickey - I had never heard of this lady until I heard her on your show, and each track you play is simply amazing! So if you made a decision to be more diverse in your musical selection then I think the net you have thrown out has caught acts and genres of music that seem to be performing at the top of their game and you have done them justice in the order of this set list. I'm terrible at giving constuctive feedback, but you need to know I think this show was first class - Lana Del Rey, Bastille, Stereophonics and Oasis... OK so you want to know the low point? (pause) ...your opening track :D but that is why the show was so good - there was something for us all.
