Hashishen Studio Session mix

Based in Poughkeepsie, Hashishen is a Palestinian musician performing all over the NY for the last 6 years. Through his efforts he has most recently opened for the award winning band Mokoomba, featured on multiple radio shows in the area, and became resident DJ at Bacchus, in New Paltz. As an advocate for Palestinians and other minorities in art spaces, he was invited to speak on his experiences at Vassar College, and performed multiple benefit events for those affected. Through his background as a jazz saxophonist, he uses a large blend of influences and alternative techniques to create more flow and a feel of improvisation with his sets.
