Mar 6: Melancholy March

There are a lot of songs that are marches, but not a lot of songs about March. Although one exception is "Melancholy March," recorded by Julie London with the Pete King Orchestra, which leads off this first show of March 2021. Pictured is Julie in March, one of the twelve calendar-style images on her 1956 album "Calendar Girl." After a year of isolation, we all seem to have extra severe cases of spring fever and cabin fever, but let's hope those are our only fevers.
