Marc Thompson shares a selection of songs with us and tells us his story.
Marc is an activist, health promotion specialist, mentor and lover all things film and hip hop. Born and raised in South London, he’s been living with HIV since 1986 and has been at the forefront of HIV activism, education and prevention in the UK for 30 years.
He has a variety of roles: co-director of the Love Tank, a not for profit that promotes health and wellbeing for people from underserved communities; co-founder of Prepster.info a community-based organisation that advocates for global access to PrEP; co-founder of Blackout UK a movement dedicated to working with and building safe spaces for black gay men; co-curator for the digital archive, “Black and Gay: Back in the Day" documenting Black LGBTQ life in Britain since the 1970s; and ambassador for Opening Doors London, a charity that supports older LGBTQ people.
