It is only when we are ready can the true process of emotional healing can occur. Just as there are mechanisms in the physical body that protect us from physical pain so too are there mental mechanisms that protect us from undue emotional suffering. These mental protections sometimes block the soul from truly healing. Here healing represents a time when one is ready to start the process of emotional healing that can only occur the mind, body and soul are ready.
