Funky Blue Note Trip

This Funky Blue Note Trip is inspired by the great mixes of dj Maestro on the legendary Blue Note label. They are really cool, so check them out, if you can! There’s a mixture of funk, soul and, of course, jazz in this Funky Blue Note Trip. In the early and mid seventies jazz musicians made cross-overs to soul and funk with very surprising results. Especially the Mizell Brothers who produced Bobbi Humphrey and Donald Byrd for instance, created the most innovative albums. Enjoy!
