The idea behind this mix was to put some cool funky and soulful tracks together, old and new. Last week I put a Philly mix up and in this mix are two songs from Philadelphia. The first one is from Vincent Montana Jr. under his moniker Sounds of Inner City and recorded in the legendary Sigma Sound Studios. And I think it’s MFSB, the Gamble & Huff house orchestra that is playing on the Skip Mahony track, but I’m not sure.
