My Dad requests a yearly mix for his birthday. He likes things a little more laid back than my usual bangers so this isn't quite as bonkers as my usual stuff. I always try and make this mix tell a story of the time between its previous iteration and itself. I typically pick at least one track that has the mood of the month for each one in between and then a few highlight type tracks for yearly milestones. Sometimes it works better than others, but it is true to the emotions of the previous year and I always do it in only one take with no edits or practice shots. Hope you dig it.
