Why William Shatner is in this mix
Because his voice is just… cool.
After using some Underworld-inspired STEMS samples in earlier mixes, I wanted to try something different. Shatner’s voice has this theatrical calm to it — part drama, part absurdity — and it sits beautifully in contrast with a techno-driven soundscape.
But more than that: he’s a bit of a cult icon to me. Not really because of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I still rewatch those episodes from time to time. There’s a kind of magic in the way he shows up — a mix of charm, wit, and total commitment to the moment.
That’s the vibe I wanted to tap into and banning techno behind it hope it works.....
