Krautsalat

This is a mix I've been wanting to do for a long time.
Finally it's done and it's all about Kraurock!
To me, one of music historys most interesting phenomenons.

Since the term Krautrock is merely a loose label, that was used by the international market to label the german bands that emerged in the 60's and 70's, it doesen't define a particular style of music.
Krautrock can be anything from psychedelic rock, avant-garde electronic music, improvisational jazz, left wing inspired beat music, world music and a lot of other stuff.

But what is most fascinating to me, is that there seem to be some things that almost all of these musicans have in common:
The love and the guts for the new, the experiment and the obscure,
a sometimes simple but always straight forward pushing drive,
experimental sound textures and intruding melodies,
and finally the will to break with conventional songstructures and define new listening behaviours.
