Gonna say it. This is the most accessible PT mix ever. Full of old pop and rock singles, covers (spot Dolly Parton, ABBA and The Raincoats if you can) and remixes glued together only by minimal techno beauties, hyperpop and eighties chill.
Highlights: They’re all highlights! I’ll go for Kula Shaker’s Jerry Was There though. Cultural appropriators of the highest order and one of the big jokes of Britpop but I can’t help having a soft spot for this slow, hypnotic and spooky piece (first vinyl LP I ever bought). Never thought I’d manage to wedge it anywhere.
