It’s a back to front mix, this one. Hard and weird electronic stuff first, a load of slick breaks, strange pop music, throaty metal, soothing techno wankery and a singery songwritery-ish finish.
Highlights: Chemz. Stunning. I couldn’t include the full thing at about nine minutes long but it’s an INCREDIBLE piece of work. I love how Burial turns the aesthetic of UKG into an instrument of it’s own, charged with old memories. It’s almost painful to listen in to.
