Late uploading this one. I have a littl'un so it’ll happen. Light breezy indie start, into some glitchy, pitchy business, a widdly diamond from sub-Saharan Africa, one of the best cover versions I’ve ever heard in my life, loads of garage rock bangers on after another culminating in a garage rock megabest by Weatherday, political UK rap with DOOM-like production, controlled chilled beats, out of control fire beats and a nasty goregrind puke fest.

Highlights: That one-two-three punch of Mdou Moctar, Perverts Again and Tawings showing you what can still be rinsed from an electric guitar, some lush slo disco bits from Glows, J Rick, Dizzy Fae and Palmistry, the first appearance of my current fave band 100 Gecs (life changing!). For whatever reason Unhappy Fly jumps out the most - feels authentically 90s Melody Maker indie, also feels creepy. I guess the guy’s voice combined with scratchy slide guitar genuinely makes him sound like a giant singing fly.

Tracklist

Playing tracks by Juan Wauters, Unhappy Fly, Dream Wife, Suzi Quatro, Bip Ling & Huntizzy and more.
