An oldie. Starts dark and reflective, loosens a few buttons for the pop / r’n’b / hip-hop middle section, then it’s tight AF guitar rock and intricate electronic gobbledygook for the finish. Gotta say it: FULL of bangers.
Highlights: The one-two-three punch intro. Yatta’s gloriously wonky, unique beauty. Neil Young’s INSANE Dead Man score. And Purple Mountains threatening - and then duly committing - actual suicide.
The lyrics to that Richard Dawson track near the end are something special too.
