Hi Alice, it was the trailer that made me think that Queen Of Outer Space sounded a bit "skin flicky". You can almost hear the guy drooling in the intro about "long-limbed beauties" and "voluptuous Venusians". The film looks good so I'm happy to stick with it and add Lifeforce to the movie list for later viewing.

The favourite track poll was strictly unofficial and a work in progress to help make a final choice. Not an attempt to blag four votes. I didn't know Jimmy & The Boys was a Kinks cover either. We do have radios here in Thanet, precious little law, and some will even pick up rebel stations broadcasting on stolen FM frequencies from the roofs of towerblocks. But those stations are mostly rap and grime.

I agree you should get Monica back. When you're on the show together there's hybrid vigour, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and listeners are never quite sure who's gonna launch the next zinger - awesome bickering! BTW, you have a nice British accent, sort of Kent/Surrey/Hampshire? Or maybe west London suburbs. Definitely not estuary English.

Since I don't know how Monica does the polls... This was my favorite version of the Forever song, but I'm not going to vote for the house band. I'm obviously not amused by any of the stunts Monica pulled, so her tracks are OUT. I'm only voting from Reade 's set. I really wanted to vote for Jimmy & The Boys because I thought it was the only song in the set that wasn't a cover, but I just found out it's a Kinks song and I'm pretty bummed out by that.

I'll admit, I have Foxy Shazam's "Drain You" completely stuck in my head. There's something about the way the disjointed lyrics mix with an energy akin to something like Freddy Mercury. I was surprised when I read the track list AFTER I LISTENED FIRST ( @LastoftheRedHotBeatniks ), to see that it was Amyl & The Sniffers that did "Born To Be Alive." The original used to be a joke track we'd play at parties, so it was fun to hear Amyl put her spin on it.

Is this a ranked voting system? You must not have radios or laws where you come from, seeing as how you're voting for 4 things at once. I'm voting for "Drain You" AND "I'm Not Like Everybody Else."

Seriously though, which movie are we watching? I think I'm supposed to go write a song for Moonlight Madness. This is seriously a lot of work. I don't know how Monica does all of this. She's a lazy, troublesome weirdo who needs an attitude adjustment, but I think we might need her back.
