Another brilliant show. I’ve gotta be honest, Cherry doing Witchy Tai To nearly brought me to tears. The last time I saw him was doing solos and duets with Charlie Haden in a church sanctuary. A couple years later he was slated to join Ornette, Charlie, and Billy Higgins for a reunion of the quartet . Unfortunately Don was ill and Bobby Bradford subbed on trumpet. Cherry was so kind to me when I met him. A gentle soul of the world. Thanks again.
