This isn't just a mixtape it's a mini life history evoking many incidental moments, events, nights out, and hearing music that took me by surprise and influenced my approach to life and the way I dress.
The mixtape makes me think of; going to Wigan Casino nearly every weekend for two years in the mid-70s, buying and selling records at the back of the dance hall, endless hours spent practising dancing in the house, playing football in the coach car park at Wigan, seeing Martha Reeves sing “One Way Out”, going blind in Mr M's for most of the night (don't tell mother), copulating couples in the corner of Mr M's, dancing near the stage because that's where the good dancers were in the pecking order, deciding it would be a good idea to hitch hike home across the country after an all-nighter, hearing “Astral Trip” at an all-nighter at the Sombrero?, and having my mind blown by Joshie Jo Armstead's “I feel An Urge Coming On”. Keep The Faith.

I'm glad you like the mixtape it's great to be able to share the love of the music. Re: new memories I haven't stopped moving forward with my musical taste and I'm now a full on techno head i.e., surgeon, regis, basic channel, sigha, marcell dettman, raster-noton, as well as being a great fan of theo parrish, moodymann, patrice scott, anton zap and a lot of new stuff i've never heard of. Gotta keep looking forwards not back.
