“The Third Ear” is the sonic account of a vibrant encounter between the sound artists Aurore Balsa and Nina Queissner and the shaman Frederique Marciniak. It approaches the meaningfulness of the sonic experience and situates the notion of listening in the specific context of a drum ritual in which the authors participated in the very center of France in december 2019.
The composition of this radioplay links storytelling to binaural sonic immersion. It proposes outlines for a reflection in regard to the relational contingency of sound when used to reach a synaesthetic awareness of immaterial worlds.
