Rough Trade Shops has been trading in London since 1976 and has a reputation as one of the most influential independent music stores in the world. Since the first day of trading, unknown and unsigned artists have come to us because they know that we will distribute their work throughout the community around the shop. Counter Culture Mixtape aims to reflect the diverse styles of music we sell at Rough Trade - past, present & future – with an array of mini-mixes from numerous members of the shop staff, all of whom have their own individual passions for a variety of genres & noises.
