Found Frequencies 32 marks the 50th release across Music Guts Weekly, Real Time and Found Frequencies.
This one is a little different.
A mix about memory, records, people, places and the strange way songs change meaning as we move through life. There are stories about old apartments, signed records, songs chased for years, artists who became important along the way, and music that can mean completely different things to two different people.
Featuring Colter Wall, Songs: Ohia, Meursault, The Rolling Stones, Mt. Joy, Frank Turner, Grandaddy, John Lennon, Kevin Morby, Duran Duran, The Avett Brothers, Ethel Cain and more.
It also marks a change for Found Frequencies: retiring the Real Time and DJ Golightly names for now, moving away from AI artwork, and trying to make the show as human as possible — voice, fingerprints, mistakes and all.
Mostly curated through thrifted CDs, records and tapes, putting fragments of time together.
50 releases in.
