Playing tracks by
Janis Joplin, LONG JOHN BALDRY TRIO, Kinks, Status Quo, Bob Dylan and more.
The name came in the media when a young dude disarmed some soldiers that had the same age by putting flowers in their riffles.
It has been used to mark the Hippy years and is linked to the summer of love. In Belgium parties with 60's and 70's hippy music are still going on by this name. Although this music has a wide range from Donavan and the Beatles to Jimi Hendrix and Black Sabbath , from folk music to psychedelic tunes, it's hard to describe what fits in and what not.
Making this mix felt like a complete all night party compressed in 90 minutes, building up, playing hits and less known tracks and all of the tracks are very powerful and still have also a very fragile side, like a flower..... Or they are very fragile and beautiful but have a strong message in them..... This Is Flower Power!
once more, put it loud and enjoy!
