Monuments in Ruin - Chapter 133

Monuments in Ruin - Chapter 133

"Originally aired on TrendKillRadio.com on November 19th, 2018."
Stepping out onto the ledge, this week we take another path less traveled. Though some of the tracks are very familiar, the basic thought is how they tie together and their parallel in the music world. While some are pushing boundaries into obscurity, others have become modern classics for the directions they chose.
~ Post show notation: Neglected to mention, Fire and Rain was originally written by James Taylor. The Hubert Laws version is so much different and extremely enjoyable. The direction takes a great song into greater places through a totally different listening experience.

Tracklist

Playing tracks by (()) Monuments in Ruin, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more.

Cool collection of new (to me) classic rock songs from familiar classic artists! That was Chicago doing that live improvisational jam session? Whoever it was; sounded sweet.
(Fyi, Bobby, Mixcloud has a glitch, currently, where the info of the last song is not displayed during playback. Work-around: add a duplicate track list entry with the information of the last song and set the time of it to five seconds prior to the last second of the show. Then only the last five seconds will be sans info.)
Have a great weekend!

Thank you for the heads up on the track list glitch. I will fix that asap and follow from here forward. Also, thank you for listening and commenting, of course! The last artist/track was The Art Ensemble of Chicago/Ohnedaruth from their album Bap-tizum. It was a gift from a vinyl trading group i am part of. Very fun listen!

LP

Wow, great mix! Also, I think I caught a quote from H S. T midway, could it be?

Monuments In Ruin

You are correct, LP! Thank you for taking the ride with me :)
