All of Toronto has gone ballistic over the Blue Jays baseball squadron making it past the 1st round of the playoffs. The last time they made it this far in 1993, Justin Bieber wasn't born yet and Tribe Called Quest was about to release Midnight Marauders. Granted, I barely give a shit about baseball and the team is down 2-0 in the current series against Kansas City, but I still hope for victory so I can drink beer more frequently.
More importantly, it is election day and many of us have fingers crossed that after casting our vote, the country will get a much needed new Prime Minister. Our present one is an unpleasant bag and we have to scrap that.

Cheers! the undesirable fellow who has been at the helm since 2006 has finally been outcast. The new fellow seems to have a soul, we'll see if he can do what he says without driving the economy into the ground. Refreshing turn of events anyway.
