Tracks that have contributed to my well being lately.
Nauseating events take place daily and no matter how much love we put out in the world, hate keeps taking centre stage. As more people slowly come out of the clouds of ignorance and struggle with themselves to understand their role in a broken system, just as many fear equality and continue to believe “God’s will”, skin colour & sexuality are a solid reason to oppress & murder.
Bridges are built, then rancour and malice blows them up. Narrowing divisions get mashed with cleavers and push society further apart. On this side, my side, the white & privileged contribute with complacency or click on another episode of their 30 favourite shows to “take a break” from what’s in the news. Some of us think good taste in music makes us immune from prejudice. It does not. But I do seriously believe music is a power tool for fixing brains.
It’s beautiful to admit when we fuckin suck as it means we might start helping.

Totally awesome - love this set. I totally agree with the sentiment of your comment on it and the music in it (and I haven't even got to the end of it yet : ). I'm constantly searching for music like this which I conceive of as 'Acid Soul' (across decades, tempos, genres, etc), which I think you've encapsulated here - so thank you! Acid Soul is also to me, similar to what you say, what heals me and also motivates me : ) -- good work, and thanks for posting!
