The last few months have been absorbed in either construction sites or making beats and trying to comprehend the crazy world of production via Ableton 9. Thumps, bleeps, bloops, crazy bass and all the joyous things I adore about modern music that I need to know how to make. But the other day my brain fizzled with that and a journey was needed back in time to get some inspiration and refreshment. There was a need to bathe the soul in analog, submerge the self in classic songwriting and get fully locked in with the beautiful voices calling to us from decades ago.
Plus I often get more Mixcloud hits with the vintage mixes and as an attention whore, that's always a factor ;)

This a gr8 (mostly) North American, mid-century, songbook. It has so many swingin vibes and messages... "gotta wear it on our face". You know the Dells laid some deep layers of meaning down on that track. Love the: Camille Howard, Los Zafiros, Joe Bataan (always), Velma Cross and lil Stevie W... tracks!
