I’d say it’s high time we get in our psychological time machine to indulge in a bit of yesteryear. Can’t really go wrong with these gems that have been pleasing ears for a good 5 decades. Most of the people on this list are well in the grave (of course not Stevie Wonder or Smokey Robinson may they live until time ceases), but I love we can click on iTunes or plonk on a vinyl and have them come back to visit.
Great bands, glorious voices and soul thick enough you could use it as a maple syrup substitute on pancakes. It will be interesting to see if the state-of-the-art electronic music many of us also love these days will be as enjoyable in 50 years. It's hard to believe that it will. Technologies are always improving, but a great song is fortunately free from the technological handcuffs of whatever era its created in.
We need songs to age to see exactly how wonderful they are.

Love that Lenin Guess tune! Thanks Goodness Gotta Good Woman! Soo good!
Agreed! That Tramp label switched me onto him and Don Gardiner, amongst others. That reminds me I have to edit the name... Lenis instead of Lenin. hugs and fist bumps
He worked with Lee Fields on some recordings back in the early/mid 70s in Virginia also.
