I think in January what happened was that I made an unintentional New Year's resolution to try and learn to DJ. This was my first attempt at recording a mix, with many failed attempts before I had something just about good enough to use as a bonus/consolation pub quiz prize. A sonic documentation of the first stages in my attempt to get the hang of this discipline - this DISC-ipline, if you will - that they call "DJing". I'd got talking to a proper DJ who had the frankly unbelievable patter to ask me my top 3 favourite bands/artists, and my final choices all feature in here, along with a couple of other strong contenders. I had so much fun doing this that at some point I decided that I would record a new mix each month for the rest of the year, more to follow shortly!
