Contemplative times in the world call for contemplative music. As people hunker down, and many are suffering, it seemed frivolous to play dance music (although maybe we need a little of that now...), so here's another moody edition of Acoustics. Hold tight for a beautiful piece from Seu Jorge's newest outing, experiments in classical and jazz from Laura Rose, some lovely piano from Midori Hirano, Ryuichi Sakamoto's Riot in Lagos seemed appros of the coronahysteria - this version is strictly piano (listen out for the muted playing about three quarters of the way through), guitar from Tom Guernsey and Terry Riley and the mighty Art of Noise with Moments in Love. Love one another and share with one another as best you can amid 'social distancing.' And stay human as long as possible. Don't let Spotify make you mediocre... Peace, love and healing to us all.
