'American Buffalo' is about the decimation of the bison by hunters and soldiers who used the Sharps 1874 model large-bore rifle, co-written by award-winning songwriter Martin H. Samuel (lyric) and Art Howard-Gentry (music) who, collectively write and record Americana music as a duo, go by the name Martin Howard.
